How our MLB model builds a pick

Baseball is the most pitcher-dependent betting market, so every game starts with the starting pitchers. The model uses skill-based metrics — strikeout and walk rates, contact quality, and expected ERA estimators — rather than raw ERA, which is heavily affected by luck and defence over small samples.

It then projects how deep each starter is likely to go and how much of the game falls to the bullpen, using recent reliever workloads. A tired bullpen can turn a favourable starting matchup into a coin flip over the final three innings.

Park factors and weather complete the picture. Wind blowing out at Wrigley Field or warm, dry air at Coors Field can add runs to a total that the posted number does not yet reflect.

Moneylines, run lines, and totals

Most MLB signals are moneylines, because baseball has no point spread and the moneyline is where pitching mismatches are priced. Run line (-1.5 / +1.5) signals are used when the model expects a comfortable win or a close game at a better price than the moneyline offers.

Totals signals lean on park, weather, umpire tendencies, and bullpen fatigue — the factors that change run scoring most from one day to the next.

Who builds the model

The models are developed and trained in-house by a team of mathematicians working across China, the United States and the United Kingdom, on our own GPU cluster: eight NVIDIA B200 accelerators with 1.44 TB of GPU memory.

The methodology page describes the analysis process and its limitations. Recorded picks and settled outcomes are available separately on the results page.

Frequently asked questions

Are these picks free?

Yes. Free signals are published on this page with the model probability, the market, the price and the event time. Some additional signals are unlocked for members. Every published pick — free or not — is graded on the public results page, wins and losses included.

How do you choose today's best MLB bets?

The model prices every game on the slate and ranks sides by the gap between its probability and the probability implied by the odds. The best bets are the signals with the largest gaps that also pass our minimum confidence threshold.

What happens if a starting pitcher is scratched?

The model is re-run with the replacement starter. If the new projection no longer supports the pick, the signal is withdrawn before first pitch.

Where can I check your MLB results?

Every settled MLB pick is listed chronologically on /results/mlb, graded win, loss, push, or void. Nothing is removed after the fact, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

18+ only. Probabilities are model estimates, not guarantees, and past performance does not predict future results. Bet only what you can afford to lose — responsible gambling resources.
